Nurturing Growth through Music & Play
Hello!Welcome to Nurtune! We believe that early childhood education is at its most powerful when it connects the entire family. Our mission is to take the stress out of playtime by bringing interactive, low-setup music experiences and creative weekly themes right into your home.
Designed to spark curiosity, movement, and joy, Nurtune helps your little ones reach their developmental milestones while making unforgettable memories together.
Hi! I’m Janessa Ozaeta, the founder of Nurtune. As an author and fellow mama, my passion has always been creating meaningful spaces for children to learn, imagine, and thrive.
I founded Nurtune because I saw a need for early childhood programs that don't rely on staring at a screen, but instead encourage hands-on exploration and rhythm. Whether it’s through catchy songs or the whimsical worlds of children's literature, I love watching children discover the magic of the world around them.
Thank you for letting Nurtune be a part of your child’s early learning journey. Let's make some noise, explore new rhythms, and grow together!Qualifications:
Lifelong Musician: Over a lifetime of personal and professional musical practice, bringing a deep, authentic love for rhythm and melody to every class.
Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Music: Specialized training in vocal/instrumental rhythm, ear training, and performance.
CPR & First Aid Certified: Fully trained and up-to-date on pediatric and adult safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment.
Children's Literature Author: Creator of rhythm-based storytelling designed to spark imagination and language skills in early learners.
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture the vital bond between parent and child while tuning young ears to the foundational elements of music—pitch, rhythm, and scale.
Values
1. Harmony in Connection
We believe music is the ultimate bridge. At Nurtune, the most important "instrument" in the room is the bond between parent and child. We prioritize moments of eye contact, touch, and shared laughter over "perfect" performance.
2. Rooted in Growth
Development isn't a race; it's a season. We celebrate every musical milestone—whether it’s a baby’s first rhythmic sway, a toddler’s first matched pitch, or a preschooler’s first scale—knowing that these tiny seeds are growing into a lifetime of confidence.
3. Musical Intentionality
We believe tiny ears are capable of big things. While our classes are fun, they are never "just play." We are intentional about teaching the foundations of pitch, rhythm, and scales, providing a high-quality musical education from day one.
4. Nurturing Safety
A healthy sprout needs a clean environment. We are committed to maintaining a studio that is physically safe (hygienic and sanitized) and emotionally safe—a "no-judgment zone" where parents and children feel free to explore, make mistakes, and be themselves.
5. The Joy of Play
Play is the "work" of childhood. We lean into the silliness, the movement, and the imagination. If we aren't having fun, we aren't doing it right! We believe the most profound learning happens when we are laughing and moving together.
