Our unique programs: Building musical foundations
At Nurtune, we offer a range of specialized programs designed for distinct age groups, ensuring your child receives the right musical challenge at every stage. Our approach goes beyond typical music classes, focusing on critical developmental milestones for pitch and rhythm mastery.
Roots (0-12 months)
We focus on 'Primary Pitch,' using gentle melodic scales to build the foundational neural pathways for musical hearing.
Seedlings (12-24 months)
We transition to 'Steady Beat' mastery, helping toddlers coordinate gross motor skills with rhythmic patterns.
Wildflowers (2-3 years)
This stage emphasizes 'Vocal Control,' teaching children to find and match pitch accurately through playful repetition.
Meadow (3-4 years)
We introduce 'Complex Meter,' challenging children to recognize and perform more intricate rhythmic sequences.
Orchard (4-5 years)
Our capstone tier focuses on 'Musical Independence,' ensuring children have the ear for pitch and the discipline for rhythm needed for formal instrument training.
A structured path to musical mastery
We provide a clear developmental roadmap using our five-tier system—Roots, Seedlings, Wildflowers, Meadow, and Orchard. Each program is specifically tailored to a narrow age range (0–5 years) to ensure the musical activities match your child's cognitive and physical milestones.
By focusing on these distinct stages, we help parents understand that their child isn't just 'playing,' but is on a structured path toward perfecting rhythm and pitch. Whether it's building sensory foundations in Roots or achieving musical independence in Orchard, our curriculum ensures the right challenge at the right time.
Why Nurtune stands out
As a mom and the founder of Nurtune, my mission is to make music as natural as learning a first languageāa core building block like colors and shapes. I want every parent to know that we are a fully inclusive environment: homeschool families and children with special needs are warmly welcomed and celebrated here.
Every child seen and supported
We stand out by offering an age-appropriate path to perfecting rhythm and pitch while ensuring that every child, regardless of their learning style, has a seat at the table. At Nurtune, parents aren't just observers; they are partners in nurturing a lifelong love of music in a space where every child is seen, heard, and supported.
